Remember the phone book on the kitchen counter?

Your hometown, all in one place.

What it is

An almanac used to be the book every household kept handy: the calendar, the useful facts, a bit of history. Our Town Almanac is that idea for your town, kept up to date.

The directory

Every plumber, pharmacy, church, school, diner and town office, sorted the way a newcomer actually looks for them. Each category gets its own page, and every listing names the public source it came from.

Events, history & people

The town calendar and its festivals, a page of local history with where the records live, and Local Voices: conversations with neighbors, in their own words, once they’re recorded and approved.

The monthly newsletter

One short letter a month for each town: new businesses, the town calendar, a bit of local history, and a conversation with a neighbor. Coming soon.

Free listings

Every local business gets a basic listing at no charge. Owners can claim it, correct it, or add a business we missed. The directory is refreshed every month.

Built for newcomers…

Just moved? Start with the essentials: utilities, city and county offices, schools, doctors, groceries and a good mechanic, gathered in one plain, searchable place.

…and for the folks who’ve been here all along

Look up a number, find the shop on the square, read up on the town’s history, and keep up with what’s happening through the monthly letter.
